The Pagemaster is a side-scrolling action platformer video game released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) back in 1994. The game features literature-themed locations, arts, and monsters, with elements ranging from horror to fantasy worlds. The game is loosely based on a movie of the same name and features many elements regarding the film. The plot of the SNES version of the game also resembles that of the movie, unlike the PC version that has its own parallel plot, and entirely new gameplay mechanics despite having the same title.
