R-Type DX is a compilation game of the first two R-Types arcade shooter, updated them with colors and other gameplay enhances. Released for the Game Boy Color (GBC) handheld system back in 1999, the game features six different game modes: R-Type DX which combines the challenges of R-Type and R-Type II, R-Type which is both available in the black and white and colored glory, R-Type II which is also available as both colored and Black and White, and De Souza level that allows players to create their own level.
