P.O.W. – Prisoners of War is an arcade beat’em up game that was released back in 1988 and was later ported to the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). This side-scrolling game features a military prisoner who broke himself free from his cell. The player takes control of this prisoner who must fight his way into the enemy’s main base and eliminate their leader before escaping. Unlike the original arcade version, the NES is a single-player-only game. The NES version also features a new ability to pick up and throw grenades.
