Metal Storm is a side-scrolling action platformer game that allows players to reverse the gravity as they play (A feature unique at that time). Released back in 1992 for the Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), the game features several sci-fi levels littered with a wide range of enemies. The game is set in the far future in the year 2501, when an orbital laser weapon began to malfunction and shot down other planets in the Solar System. In this game, the player takes control of a M-308 Gunner – a highly advanced mechanical robot capable of gunning down any threat it encounters.
