Madden NFL 97 (or Madden NFL ’97) reloads the arsenal of football gaming with new features that are previously not available in the previous titles. The game is the first Madden NFL football to be created in the 32-bit gaming era and is the first game to implement the use of salary cap for customizing team rosters. Madden NFL 97 also added a whole team of real “free agents” that can be added or switched to other teams’ rosters and serves as a cool wild-card players.
