Harvest Moon: Back to Nature combines the adventure of open-world and Roleplaying games in one experience. Take control of a man to maintain the farm that his grandfather gives him. Maximize your time with daily tasks by clearing the land, planting crops, selling them, and raising livestock. Build relationships or forage if you have the time. Start the game off with the mayor of the town asking for your name, date of birth, and your dog. Yes! You get to have the dog! Given a sizable land to work on, you can add a coop for your chickens, a barn, a horse stable, a fishpond, and an apple tree. The possibilities are endless. A hoe and a sickle are provided to you, along with a trusty hamper and ax to clear debris. Upgrade them later to do tasks better. Marriage also makes an appearance in-game. Build relationships with townsfolks, expand your home, raise hearts to be red, and purchase a feather. Propose, and bells would start ringing within a week. Getting girls is never an easy task as you fight through your rivals, and if unsuccessful, you will attend instead of being at the altar with your lady love. So pick up your tools and start building.
